E50, Time to Complete: 25 hours, 2.5 CEUs) Effective Quality Audits: This course will help you learn how to design, set up, conduct and evaluate quality audits. You will learn the benefits, purposes, and goals of audits, the administration of the audit function, conducting the systems and procedures audit, conducting the process audit, conducting the end item and in-line process audit, statistical applications to the audit, external audits, and the human factors in conducting audits. (Course no. E80, Time to Complete: 25 hours, 2.5 CEUs) How to Control and Minimize Quality Costs: In this course you will learn how to find the optimum balance between prevention costs and the cost of "unquality." You will cover tracking quality costs, collecting quality costs data, presenting quality costs data, identifying quality cost improvement areas, generating direct profit, and maintaining quality progress.
How to Maintain and Update a Quality Manual: This course will introduce you to the development of a productive quality manual, where to find and how to gather input, policy, planning, and administration, design assurance and design change control, control of purchased material/assemblies, production quality control, user contact and field performance, corrective action, employee selection, training and motivation, as well as how to test, distribute, and maintain your quality manual.
How to Upgrade and Improve Supplier Performance: This course will cover beginning your supplier improvement program, how to build a basic supplier quality program, how to conduct supplier surveys and audits, effective evaluation of incoming material, how to measure supplier performance, effective supplier communications, educating your suppliers in your quality philosophy, statistical quality control and supplier process improvement, and how to install and maintain your supplier improvement program.
Statistical Control of Manufacturing Processes: This course consists of three volumes. Volume One deals with collecting and presenting data: arrays, dot plots, histograms, frequency distribution, normal, poisson, exponential distributions, mean, variance and standard deviation, and a six step approach to quality improvement. Volume Two covers probability basics, distributions, sampling, confidence intervals, estimating parameters, and statistical decision making. Volume Three is about acceptance sampling, control charts, regression and correlation, and experimental design & analysis of variance.
Successfully Managing the Quality Function: This course will help you to set your professional goals, determine the existing level of quality, identify the costs of quality, establish corporate quality objectives, achieve total quality assurance, assure quality through product design, obtain control of production quality, assure vendor quality, develop the quality organization, and learn how to control quality through people.
